We are a new Welsh Government arm’s length body, responsible for funding, regulating and overseeing further education, including colleges and school sixth forms, higher education, including research and innovation, adult education and adult community learning, and  apprenticeships and training.

Senior Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who will deliver a high quality and professional procurement service, obtaining the best value for money for the public funds entrusted to us. Working closely with colleagues across Medr, you will deliver procurement solutions to enable everyone to successfully achieve our objectives and contribute to the development of a strong tertiary education and research sector in Wales.

Managing the procurement process, you will ensure that Medr is compliant with all current and new procurement regulations both in Wales, UK and internationally.

Salary: £47,519 – £55,019 a year

Chief Operating Officer

Apprenticeship Officer x2

We are looking for Apprenticeship Officers who will provide valuable support to the team to design, develop and deliver the apprenticeship programme to meet employer needs and offer joined up learner pathways at all skill levels. This will include supporting the development and delivery of apprenticeship policy and liaising with the Welsh Government, key stakeholders, employers, learners and teams across Medr.

Head of Financial Assurance

Leading Medr’s tertiary education sector-facing financial assurance function as its most senior professional in this area, you will use your skills and experience to:
 
* monitor the financial sustainability of tertiary education and research providers.
* identify issues early.
* build relationships with internal leadership and external stakeholders such as tertiary education and research providers and UK bodies and groups.
* give assurance to Medr’s senior leadership team, Board, and Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
* further develop Medr’s proportionate and risk-based approach to financial reporting and sustainability.

Senior Provider Audit Manager

The Senior Provider Audit Manager will play a key role in improving our process to obtaining assurance over providers, by undertaking objective, risk-based assessments on key areas within the providers we regulate, with a focus on data audits.

The successful candidate will support the creation and implementation of a defined data audit strategy for providers and will undertake reviews of the data returned by providers.
